After growing up in Hawaii, Lucy settled in Los Gatos in the 1970s with her high school sweetheart and now husband, Charlie. Soon after, Charlie was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), yet he continued to coach football at Los Gatos High School, with Lucy by his side helping to call in plays.
Against all odds and by God's grace, Charlie survived over 34 years with ALS before succumbing to the disease in 2010. For many years Charlie and Lucy worked tirelessly to inspire and bring hope to others through their motivational speaking, autobiography, and documentary.*
Lucy continues to champion hope over adversity - you will continue to see her at most every Los Gatos football game. And, when she is not selling houses or helping others, she is playing with her 11 grandchildren!
